Our Wildlife Education Center is a place for inspiration and education! As a Wildlife Education Volunteer, you will work directly with our Ambassadors in our indoor classroom and outdoor wildlife walk. To start, you will help with feeding, cleaning, and diet prep, then continuously graduate up to bigger responsibilities until you are helping with programs and working with animals!
Not all volunteer applicants are guaranteed an immediate position. Orientation and training is required and provided by BRWC.
To maintain continuous training, a minimum time commitment of three to four 4-hour shifts is required per month.
Rabies vaccination is required to work with high-risk rabies species: (Fox, skunk, groundhog, bats, raccoons). Educational Ambassador Raptors are exclusive to staff for consistent training. Background checks will be done on eligible applicants to ensure the safety of our people, animals and property.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, and able to carry various objects up and down stairs and on uneven terrain.
