We wouldn’t be able to take in the 3,400+ patients we do each year if it weren’t for our Animal Care volunteers!

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age (click here for youth opportunities). Rabies vaccination required to work with high-risk rabies species: (Fox, skunk, groundhog, bats, raccoons). Not all volunteer applicants are guaranteed an immediate position. Orientation and training is required and provided by BRWC. A minimum time commitment is required. We require our volunteers to commit to one day, the same day, each week. Please include all days you may be able to commit to.

Note: we have different hours in the spring/summer to ensure our wild babies are well fed.

AM shift : 9AM - 1PM (summer : 8AM - 1PM)
PM shift : 1PM - 5PM (summer : 1PM - 6PM)
Full-day : 9AM - 5PM (summer : 8PM - 6PM)
