Cats! The Effects on Wildlife and How You Can Help
Free-roaming domestic cats have a significant impact on native wildlife, contributing to injuries, disease transmission, and population declines across many species. In this webinar, we will explore how and why cats affect wildlife, including the types of injuries wildlife hospitals see most often and the diseases that can be spread between cats and wild animals.
We will also discuss why this issue matters for ecosystem health and offer practical, realistic steps cat owners and animal lovers can take to reduce these impacts. From enrichment and containment options to community-level solutions, this session focuses on how small changes can make a meaningful difference for both wildlife and cats.
This webinar is ideal for cat owners, wildlife advocates, and anyone interested in protecting native wildlife while supporting responsible pet care.
