Presenter
Morgan Powell is the Building and Grounds Manager at Blue Ridge Wildlife Center, where he is charged with keeping the Center's physical structures operational, maintaining the land, and building the infrastructure to allow it to grow. Prior to his position at BRWC, Morgan worked for the City of Winchester doing grounds maintenance at local parks and as a farm hand at a local horse sanctuary. He also currently maintains 20 acres of his own property in Frederick County, VA. He has operated an array of landscaping and construction equipment in a variety of settings. After a few unfortunate collisions with wildlife while mowing and bush hogging, he began his research into better practices with all landscaping equipment and land management styles. He also began documenting his own experiences and recording his findings to help homeowners and landowners become better stewards of the land.
